Google gives a "Pro" version to its Google Pixel 6, to push a bit more the already high quality of its iconic model.
The design of this Google Pixel 6 Pro will not leave anyone indifferent: it is both marked and a bit dated, with a very imposing and marked photo block, and glass everywhere that obviously takes a lot of fingerprints. However, the quality of the finish is irreproachable, and the fingerprint reader under the screen, which is very efficient, is a welcome novelty for Google. It is also worth noting that the screen is well optimized, with no really visible edges. The waterproofing is there, with an IP68 certification, but it is not possible to add a memory card.
The screen of this Google 6 Pro is very generous in size, with 6.7 inches diagonal, and it goes hand in hand with very nice features. The resolution first of all, 1440 by 3120 pixels, guarantees a constant sharpness, and the refresh rate of the slab goes up to 120 Hz, a fluidity that is hard to do without. The color rendering is absolutely flawless and optimal, and the brightness is always well adapted to the surrounding environment to keep comfort. In short, this Google Pixel 6 Pro has a display that does not suffer from any flaws.
The power of this Pixel 6 Pro, which benefits from a processor signed by Google and a substantial RAM, impresses. Not so much for the most common uses, which are certainly perfectly fluid in all circumstances, but for the gaming aspect, which is always at the top. There is no game that hurts this smartphone, always fluid.
The photo part was very expected, being often synonymous with excellence at Google. The three lenses present, the main one which is wide angle with 50 million pixels, the ultra wide angle with 12 million pixels when the last one displays 48 million to offer a x4 zoom. The first sensor is irreproachable in the shots it offers, it is fine, precise and detailed, but with colors a little too bright and red, but nothing prohibitive. It is in the dark that the rendering seduces the most because it renders details to perfection, without any marked smoothing and without any noticeable loss in any area or almost.
The disappointment lies in the autonomy, below what we can expect from such a smartphone. A day, a day and a half of use before recharging, this is clearly disappointing.
