Our opinion
With this new version of its successful OnePlus 7T, the brand intends to go a step further in terms of performance, even if it means making its range of smartphones a little more difficult to read.
However, this elegant smartphone is closer to OnePlus 7 Pro than it is to OnePlus 7 Pro, which is very well finished and has a beautiful colour for its rear panel. At the front, the large panel takes up most of the space, but single-handed operation can still be a bit complicated, despite the well laid-out physical keys and the fingerprint reader under the screen, which lacks a bit of responsiveness but saves space. The sensor on the front panel is in fact retractable, which takes a little time to unlock by facial recognition, but this is not a problem. The connectors are very classic and well equipped.
With a nice diagonal of 6.67 inches, the screen is generous and has good qualities. It is equipped with a very high level of definition, 3120 by 1440 pixels, which allows you to enjoy a very detailed display, with the addition of a 90 Hz display frequency that adds to the comfort. The colour rendering is very faithful, with a slight change in the settings. With a nice brightness, there is not much to complain about on the display of this OnePlus.
If this OnePlus 7T Pro lacks a mini-jack port and an adapter for USB-c port is also missing, it should be noted that both loudspeakers do their job properly and deliver a good quality sound.
This smartphone clearly has nothing to be ashamed of in terms of the performance it offers. Always smooth and comfortable to switch from one application to another, the OnePlus 7T Pro also does well in games, which run smoothly and with a good level of detail.
On the photo level, OnePlus 7T Pro has three sensors, designed to complement each other. The main module with its 48 million pixels is barely good, but the colours are a bit dull and there is a bit of overexposure that affects the rendering. When the brightness is lower, this OnePlus does rather well despite a bit of smoothing, which is still quite acceptable. An ultra-wide angle module is also present, and if it suffers from a certain amount of smoothing and blurring, its rendering is rather good, but in the dark, you can see an omnipresent noise to the detriment of quality. Finally, the 3x zoom lens does well, with a satisfactory overall rendering in terms of light and details: this sensor even manages to limit breakage in the dark, even if it remains a very average image. For the selfies, the OnePlus 7T Pro benefits from this retractable sensor, which is very powerful, with a beautiful rendering, well detailed, but the portrait mode would have deserved a little optimisation. On the other hand, there is nothing to complain about the video capture, which is of very good quality, with effective stabilisation.
The autonomy could have been significantly optimised. In fact, this smartphone can take a long day, even a little of the next morning, but it will run out afterwards. On the other hand, the charge is very fast.
