Our opinion
Ultra: the name says it all for this high-end tablet from Samsung, which boasts exceptional features across the board.
The dimensions of this tablet are more than impressive: its generous screen makes it impossible to use with one hand, but Samsung has still managed to keep its thickness remarkably low, has chosen high-quality materials (the aluminum and protective glass are outstanding), and it is waterproof, as proven by its IP68 certification. The screen has very thin edges and you quickly forget about the front camera. The physical keys and connectors (especially for the keyboard) fall naturally under your fingers and finally, in terms of connectivity, you'll find all the classic technologies, in their most recent standards.
In terms of power, it goes without saying that the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is impressive. All standard uses are performed with remarkable fluidity, regardless of the number of applications launched at the same time. For games, the fluidity is also perfect, and with a Bluetooth controller, you can turn this tablet into an XXL console.
While the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra manages to produce very acceptable daytime photos with natural rendering and sharpness, the quality decreases when the light fades, with pronounced smoothing. The same is true for the ultra-wide-angle module, but the fisheye effect is a little too pronounced, and the quality in a dark environment is barely passable. More generally, the weight of the tablet means that you can't use it for very long photo sessions. The front module, which can be used for video conferencing, for example, gives decent results overall. Video capture is successful, but again, the same caveat applies regarding the maneuverability of such a tablet.
The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra can easily last a day or even two, thanks to its excellent software optimization and very generous battery. You'll just need to be patient while it charges, provided you have a powerful charger.
