Our opinion
Now that its connected watch has won over a large number of enthusiasts, Apple is not stopping there, and is releasing the Apple Watch Series 10, which further enhances this watch with its many qualities.
Design-wise, it's very similar to the previous model, except that it's slightly thinner, which is always pleasing, and the screen is slightly larger too. While this too remains subtle, it's still appreciable. The watch is very light, and the bracelets offered, in rubber or fabric, are pleasantly forgettable. It's easy to change the strap, which is a standard size. The watch is water-resistant to 50 meters, but it's best to avoid major changes in pressure, so diving should be done sparingly.
The Apple Watch Series 10 is a perfect extension of the iPhone and the user experience is fully optimized and therefore most enjoyable. There are three ways to navigate this watch, with the digital crown allowing you to switch to notifications and applications, of which there are many on the software environment. There's a button on the right-hand side for intuitive activation of other functions, and the rest is done via the touchscreen. With a little time to learn, navigation is quick, and shortcuts optimize the experience. It is also possible to take calls on the watch, with a microphone and loudspeakers: troubleshooting, but useful.
The small unfortunate point about the software environment is the obligation to use three applications to operate the watch: Watch to manage the dial, Health for data relating to this domain and Fitness for physical activity data. However, this serves a very complete watch in terms of sensors, which enable physical activity to be tracked with great precision, for example in terms of distance covered, gradients, etc... The apple Watch Series 10's heart rate monitoring is also highly reliable and can therefore be used. On a more general health level, this watch also offers a wealth of functionalities, particularly in terms of sleep and sleep monitoring, although this cannot and should not replace medical advice.
Autonomy has always been a weak point in connected watches, and the Apple Watch Series 10 is no exception. Nothing dramatic, but intensive use with full functionality will require fairly regular recharging, which fortunately doesn't take too long.
