Our opinion
Every year, Samsung releases a “Plus” version of its flagship model, one that is notably larger and more durable. After the Galaxy S25, it's only natural that the S25+ should come along with its share of promises.
The design of this Galaxy S25+ is once again very successful. Even though it's an imposing smartphone, its dimensions and weight have been kept in check, with maximum optimization of these features and beautiful materials (aluminum and glass), which also don't get dirty too quickly. Overall ergonomics remain close to what the Korean manufacturer offers, and of course this device features all the latest standards in terms of connectivity, not forgetting of course the waterproof certification proven by the IP68 standard.
The screen of this Galaxy S25+ is, of course, in keeping with the excellence that Samsung offers. With a diagonal of 6.7 inches, and quite elongated in shape, this smartphone's slab is richly defined (3120 by 1440 pixels) for carefree text reading. The adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz ensures fluidity and minimizes eyestrain. Brightness, which rises very high and falls very low, makes it possible to consult the S25+ in any environment. Color fidelity, once the settings have been made, is also perfect and faithful.
The power of this Galaxy S25+ is more than enough to cope with all kinds of use without faltering, even for users who open a lot of applications. Games are no more of a problem for this smartphone, which is always responsive.
The Galaxy S25+ features three photo sensors at the rear. The main module takes care of the wide-angle shot with 50 million pixels, with a mode that combines the pixels. The shots are well exposed and the colors are more faithful than on the S24+: sharpness is good, with a satisfactory rendering that doesn't fade when the light falls. The 50-megapixel mode is especially useful for cropping. The 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module is perfectly adequate, even if it loses some of its edge detail and homogeneity, and low-light results are badly affected by electronic noise. The telephoto lens, a x3 zoom, fares well overall, even if details are not sufficiently highlighted.
For selfies, the front-facing sensor produces fine shots, and the portrait mode is quite effective. Video capture is of a very high standard, with a plethora of options and even artificial intelligence to take things further.
When it comes to battery life, Samsung has hit the nail on the head with this Galaxy S25+, which easily lasts two days of use, thanks in particular to a much more economical processor. On the subject of recharging, it's not extremely fast, but it takes less than an hour to fill up.
