Our opinion
Oppo is aiming for nothing less than the very top end of the market with this new flagship, the Find X3 Pro having everything it takes to challenge the big boys of the moment.
Its design is very sober but also very elegant, especially when it comes to the integration of the photo sensors on the rear shell, and the level of finishing is irreproachable, with everything you would expect from a device in this category, with waterproofing, the possible eSim card or even 5G and Wifi6. The dimensions are certainly generous for this Oppo Find X3 Pro, but its weight remains under control and its use remains pleasant in all circumstances, with well located physical keys and a fingerprint reader under the screen.
The screen of the Find X3 Pro is well made. It has a refresh rate of 120Hz, which guarantees a nice fluidity, and its resolution is very high, for a perfect comfort. However, you'll need to go through the settings to get impeccable color rendering, and unfortunately you'll have to deal with some glare when the environment is very bright.
As far as power is concerned, this Find X3 Pro is absolutely safe, as it is equipped with a processor that is as recent as it is powerful, and with plenty of memory. Switching from one application to another or even playing a game of the latest generation is no problem, even without graphics concessions for example.
We observe a quartet of sensors for a very successful photo experience. The main sensor can reach 50 million pixels by combining the pixels, which allows better cropping of images if necessary, but if the details are well present and the colors are flattering, it lacks a little sharpness. In a dark environment, nothing to complain about or almost, with enough precision and detail to not be disappointed. The ultra wide angle module is very well made, with a real precision everywhere on the image, a realistic rendering that lacks only a little detail to be at the level of the best. At night, this lens is almost unusable. The optical zoom, limited to x2, lacks a little too much detail and precision to convince. A last lens is used as a... microscope: fun, not fundamental but of a very honorable quality.
The selfies are of a quite satisfactory quality, with a sensor of 32 million pixels for beautiful details. On the other hand, the portrait mode obviously works better with the main sensors, and video capture is always fluid and well-made.
Autonomy is still a concern for Oppo, which stumbles by offering only a day, or a little more, to its high-end smartphone. The trade-off is that the included charger offers a full charge in less than half an hour.
